​I started my career in tax and accounting back in 1991 with top 4 firm Touche Ross (now Deloitte). After learning my trade and passing the ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) examination, I left to join a local Cambridge firm, Tyrrell Accountants, and became a partner within 5 years. There followed a further 20 years of building the company, alongside helping and advising a wide array of clients and businesses, based both locally and abroad.

I have vast experience of the UK tax system. I have over 30 years of practical knowledge with regards to tax returns, self-employed matters and compliance enquiries by HMRC. I have a particular interest in helping owner managed businesses, individuals and landlords with their HMRC obligations as well as tax planning and advisory services. I particularly enjoy meeting and getting to know my clients and prefer a personable approach to work. I very much believe that business is all about relationships.

When not working I enjoy watching all types of sport. I am an annual member at Newmarket racecourse and a lifelong Ipswich Town supporter. I enjoy travelling, running slowly and listening to any sort of music, particularly live.
